MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu (his 2016 hit) won a Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album reached number 8 within the Top Latin Albums Chart. He then was a part of Ozuna to record the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel on Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina the next year. In 2021 he recorded an duet with TINI's popular track Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo was raised in the musical home of his family. Both his younger brother and his mother are both musicians. According to him, musicality was a mandatory element of his existence. As a child, he played the ukulele guitar and piano. His initial choice of career was to be a veterinarian However, his brother Julian persuaded him to learn how to sing under the help of a Cuban teacher. It was the result that he found his talent for singing and changed the course his life.
