Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. As a young girl of just five years old and moved to Oxfordshire and enrolled at the Dragon School. Emma chose to be an actor by the age of six. For several years, she attended the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. She learned to sing dance, acting and singing. She had already performed in numerous Stagecoach as well as school plays before she turned ten. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 version of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was released in 1999. Emma was discovered by Emma's Oxford Theatre teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after the eight auditions that she'd been selected for the parts. She was cast alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. The release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema. The film set records for beginning-day and weekend-opening sales and became the top-grossing movie in 2001. Reviewers have been highly lauding the film and the performances by the three principal young actors. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her performance. Emma was awarded the Young Artist Award as the Leading Young Actress for a Feature Film. The actress was nominated five times for her role in the movie.
